GOVERNOR'S LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY TEENS
The Governor's League of Extraordinary Teens is a statewide initiative seeking to engage Tennesseans ages 13-19 in the financial and logistical support of the 95 counties offering Dolly Parton's Imagination Library — a program that mails a new, age-appropriate, hardcover book each month to registered children from birth until age five, at no cost to the family regardless of income.

League membership requires teens to personally register a minimum of ten children and raise a minimum of $140 to cover the cost of including those children in their county’s Imagination Library for one full year.

As a return on their efforts, Extraordinary Teens receive a Certificate of Appreciation signed by Gov. Phil Bredesen, are recognized on the Governor's
Books from Birth Foundation Web site, and listed in a recurring Extraordinary Teens section inside GBBF's quarterly newsletter, Signpost. (PDF)
